Itinerary

Our 4.5 hour Discovery Tour is a combination of snorkelling and exploring beautiful Magnetic Island.

Activities include exploring secluded pristine bays and beaches, birdlife, snorkel beautiful fringing reefs, reef education and interactions with fish and marine life, stories and history all in the one tour. Stand Up Paddle boards, floating pontoon to sit on, relax and enjoy the beautiful places we visit.
Morning tea and all equipment for activities is provided.
Snorkel tuition is provided in a safe and caring environment.

50 years ago this week we married. Our shared love of the ocean and islands bought us to Maggie to celebrate. A big warm heartfelt Thankyou to Adam and Hoppy from Aquascene Charters who unknowingly became wonderfully embedded into the memories of our journey together. Over these years together we have experienced numerous adventures from the ice scapes of Antarctica to the jungles of Ecuador with a variety of guides. These 2 Master Reef Guides, Interpreters, Educators engaged our group with stories, song and activity equal to or better than any others at a level catering for all ages, experience and understanding. From the start they assessed the ability and needs of the group which continued throughout the day. Nothing was too much trouble. How often these days do we hear a genuine "how can I help you"? My husband and I enjoyed a great day out with Aquascene tours, circumnavigating fabulous Magnetic Island. Adam (skipper) and Hoppy (first mate) both entertained us with stories and song, as well as taking us to some great snorkelling sites where we saw lots of fish and coral. Adam also gave us a fish feeding experience, "up close and personal", and some unique encounters with a White Bellied Sea Eagle and a Brahminy Kite. This tour offers a great diversity of experiences for both young and old.

This is a must do when visiting Magnetic Island. The skipper and his staff were so knowledgeable, friendly and great hosts! We felt very safe and it was a very relaxing day snorkelling and sightseeing. They accommodated for young children so well. The morning tea was delicious fresh fruit and banana bread. If we ever go back we would definitely do this tour again!

We absolutely loved our trip out with Aquascene and will do it again the next time we visit. Adam and Ben were amazing with our three kids and did absolutely everything to ensure the entire tour was excellent. Surprise and delight was a legendary morning tea that was quickly vacuumed up by the kids. Highly recommend and hats off to Adam for all that he does.

Highly recommend this tour, skipper was so informative and interesting. Magnetic Island is beautiful, and you really haven't seen it until you've seen it from the water. The water was crystal clear, and we were swimming with the fishes..... amazing! Tasty lunch provided on the beach. This is a must do!

This trip is so worth every dollar. Adam our skipper is passionate about Magnetic Island and it comes a across when he talks and gives you all the information regarding the first settlers , the original land owners , history of Magnetic Island , caring for the sea and sea turtles and shipwrecks. He personalised our tour for the day as the previous day weather had not been good and made for poor visibility for snorkeling. He sent out a text the night before to advise that it was would not be the best day for snorkeling and did offer us to cancel if we were just going for the snorkeling. Well he offered us an personalised tour where he mixed up the day and the sunset tour with and in-depth viewing of the SS Adelaide wreck , that was an amazing. He also got to show us all the different bays from the smallest to the biggest. We stopped off at an exclusive bay that is only accessible via 4 wd for Stand Up Paddle boarding and morning tea. We had lots of time to take everything in and try Stand Uo Paddle Board or just relax in the warm water or explore the beach.Highlight sitting in the water with Ben, Adams deckhand, serving us our morning tea. We then carried on around the island with Adam pointing out interesting things and bays to us. We did get to snorkel and got to see some of the reef and fish but as Adam had predicted it was not the best visibility but nothing Adam could do about that it is just all part of the day. Highly recommend this trip. Thank you Adam and Ben for a great day out.

What a spectacular day. Our skipper Adam was friendly, passionate about his home Magnetic Island and full of knowledge. Hoppo his side kick was very friendly, helpful and talented. Being travellers in our sixties we are normally a bit hesitant on such adventerous trips , but we loved it. The scenery, the snorkeling the wildlife, the stories and Hoppo singing, and the history lessons. Also the wonderful morning tea. Thanks Aquascene, we will be back.

Had the most amazing this morning on the Aquascene Discovery Tour. Adam and Hoppy were the absolute perfect hosts. Each stop was special from snorkelling with a green sea turtle to stand up paddle boarding in a secluded bay. The local knowledge that was shared was fantastic and we thoroughly enjoyed the day. Would highly recommend doing this tour!

Had an awesome experience touring the island. The operators were amazing and had so much knowledge to share of the local areas. We loved snorkelling and paddle boarding. We got to feed the local sea Eagles and batfish which was super cool! Thanks guys! Highly recommend
